Your support is very welcome.

Clare Castle Country Park has been a place that families have made memories for decades. We are a local charity that cares about our community and with your support we can make a difference. We are working to build opportunities for school children to visit us, to run activities for family groups and to further identify and conserve the wildlife that exists within the Park.

Keeping the Park open to the public involves a lot of work, is expensive and not everything can be done by our volunteers. The Trust receives no public funds for its upkeep and we are therefore very grateful for any donation you make.

You can now make a one-time donation to Clare Castle Country Park Trust via the form to the right.

“I am delighted to support Clare Castle Country Park as a Friend. The Park really has been a lifeline for lots of us.” Bryan, Friend

Your generous donation will enable us to

Maintain the Park

Over 100,000 visitors enjoy Clare Castle Country Park every year. With your support we are able to create a safe and inviting space for ramblers, picnickers, families with small children, dog walkers and anybody interested in history and ecology.

There is still much to learn about at Clare Castle Country Park and your donation will enable us to keep discovering more details about the castle and town’s heritage. Our archaeological digs have unearthed wonders about the events that have taken place beneath our feet, we have welcomed otters to the bank of the New Cut and a resident Pipistrelle bat to the roof of The Old Goods Shed. With your support the Trust will continue to invite the community to enjoy bat walks, wildlife conservation workshops, historical talks and much more.

“My grandma loved the outdoors and the water. We picked this amazing spot for this tree so we could all sit watching the water and nature – something she so particularly enjoyed.” Amy, donor of tree

Acquire equipment

Without tools and equipment our volunteers would not be able to carry out their work that keeps the Park looking beautiful. Our incredibly dedicated team of volunteers can be seen around the Park every Friday morning. Their work is simply incredible and without them, the Park would be a shadow of what you see today.

With your donation we are able to keep them safe by providing essential safety equipment, keep them warm by providing tough clothing for them to wear during their working parties and the physical tools that they need to carry out their duties. With anything from paint brushes to chainsaws being gratefully received and cared for, without your support we will continue to keep the Park a cherished spot for all to enjoy.

Install trees and benches

Lots of our visitors have a beloved spot within the grounds that they have spent many a bright Sunday afternoon feeding the ducks, reading a book or watching grandchildren play amongst the seasonal flowers. A number have subsequently left a legacy donation of a tree or bench for others to enjoy that very same spot.

The time that you spend in the Park is worth more to the Trust than you’ll realise. Your contribution is more than just a donation.

“After my son passed away in 2019, I knew that I needed a special place for a bench so that the family would have a place to go to, in order to remember him. Clare Country Park was the obvious choice for me, a beautiful rural location by the river, so very tranquil and peaceful.” Rosemary, donor of bench

Thank you.
