As the Trust developed it became apparent that a base was needed for volunteers, equipment and training. Thanks to grants from LEADER, the National Lottery and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, a volunteer and training centre was built in 2020.

The building offers a range of opportunities for people of all ages. It has a study room equipped with tables and chairs, a kitchenette and toilet facilities suitable for wheelchair users. Hire costs are only £30 for a half day or £40 for a full day. The café is in close proximity and there is limited parking for hirers and blue badge holders opposite the building, as well as the main car park approximately 100m away.
The muddy boots centre is the perfect venue for rural and outdoor based learning in the heart of the Park, as well as children’s activities and small group activities. For more information or to take a look please contact us at info@clarecastlecountrypark.co.uk or call the Park Office on 01787 277902 (answerphone in operation – we’ll call you back).
This building was funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Leader.
