Every painting begins with a blank canvas. But what happens next is impossible to predict!
Our Artist-in-Residence, Libby Brooks will be stepping into the unknown right in front of your eyes!
Over six Saturday mornings, Libby will be setting up studio in the The Old Goods Shed beginning four new paintings from scratch as a series. Each canvas will start as an empty white surface with no finished image in mind, and over the weeks will evolve through layers of paint, discovery, instinct and intuition. Some canvases may be almost complete by the end, others may continue long afterwards. That’s part of the adventure!
The doors will be open and you’re welcome to drop in, watch for five minutes or fifty, ask questions, or simply sit quietly and enjoy seeing creativity unfold in real time and see how the paintings evolve week by week.
Starts – Saturday 18th July until Saturday 29th August 2026 – Libby will be live from 9am-12 noon.
